I may collect personal information such as your name, contact details, date of birth, and relevant personal or health information that supports safe and effective therapy. This also include brief notes relating to our work together. 

2. How information is used

Your information is used to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, maintain appropriate records, and support the therapeutic process. Your contact details may also be used for practical communication, such as confirming or rearranging sessions. 

3. Lawful basis

Your personal information is processed in line with UK data protection law for the purpose of providing therapy and meeting legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities. Any sensitive information is handled with particular care. 

4. How information is stored

Your information is stored securely using password-protected digital systems and , where needed, locked physical storage. Appropriate steps are taken to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. 

5. How long information is kept

Clinical records are usually kept for seven years after therapy ends, in line with legal, professional, and insurance requirements. After this time, records are securely destroyed. 

6. Sharing information

Your information is kept confidential and will not normally be shared without your consent. Exceptions may apply where disclosure is required by law, necessary for safeguarding, or where there is a serious risk of harm. 

7. Your rights

You have rights under data protection law, including the right to access the personal data held about you and ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. Please get in touch if you would like to exercise any of these rights.
